This site is owned and operated by Dante Alejandro Bolatti (“Bolatti Hat Co.” hereafter), with tax identification number Z2871765J; registered office in Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 672, 08010, Barcelona, Spain; and with e-mail address info@bolattihatco.com.
By accessing or using our website, or purchasing a product or service from us, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms and conditions apply to everyone, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, content contributors, bots, and AI crawler and scrapers. Please read them carefully before using our site.
Throughout these terms and conditions, the terms “us”, “we”, and “our” refer to Bolatti Hat Co. The terms “you” and “yours” refer to any user of this site, and the customer purchasing a product from our e-commerce platform. Our website and store is hosted by Squarespace, providing us with a platform for online e-commerce, blogging, and subscription, that allows us to sell out products and services to you.
Acceptance of Terms
By using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this website. Under these terms and conditions, “using” refers to any interaction whatsoever with this site content, code, and e-commerce platform.
Use of the Website
You agree to use the website for lawful purposes only.
You shall not use the website to upload harmful, libellous, defamatory, obscene, threatening, abusive, or illegal content.
You shall not interfere with the proper functioning of the site or attempt to access restricted areas.
We reserve the right to refuse the use of this website or ban anyone from accessing this website and the e-commerce platform for any reason at any time.
You shall not use a false e-mail address, or impersonate anyone.
You are solely responsible for any comments you make and their accuracy.
You shall not use this website for scraping or gathering content in any way whatsoever for AI learning databases.
Intellectual Property
All content on this site, including text, images, logos, and designs, are the property of Bolatti Hat Co. or its licensors.
You shall not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
You shall not use any content on this site for any AI training database.
If you are interested in sharing material in this website for any educational or training purposes, please reach out for requesting permission to do so. We are happy to accommodate hatters, milliners, teachers, students, and anyone giving or taking training on hat making.
Product Information
We strive for accuracy in product descriptions and pricing; however, errors may occur.
Bolatti Hat Co. reserves the right to correct any errors and cancel orders where necessary, including but not limited to typographical errors in product pricing, description, names, or any error due to Squarespace malfunctions. Should any of these errors occur, you will be notified.
Some products or services may be only available through this website only, may have limited quantities, and subject to exchange according to our “Returns and Refunds” policy in Item 8.
While we strive to show you product and component colours as accurately as possible, we cannot guarantee that your monitor or display will show this accurately, and that those will be faithful to the physical product and component. Textile and fur materials are tricky to show correctly via images on a digital device. If in doubt, please reach out and we can arrange for product or component samples to be sent to you.
We reserve our rights to limit the sales of our products and services to any person, geographic area, or country at any time, without any notice.
We may change product descriptions or pricing at any time without any notice. Should this occur once you have placed your order, we will honour the product description and pricing of your order to the extent possible, communicating with you if any change in your order may occur.
Measurements in our hats are provided in European sizing (i.e. centimetres). Converting sizing to and from Imperial (i.e. inches) to the metric system is not one to one and minor discrepancies may exist. We recommend you take your own measurement using the metric system only.
Due to the handcrafted nature of this product, minor variations in size may occur. This is not considered a defect, and is not covered in our warranty as described on Item 9.
Similarly to the aforementioned point, we cannot guarantee that two products requested with the same specifications ordered at the same time, or apart will be exactly equal. Minor variations in materials, shape, dimensions, colour, alignment, stitching, texture, weight and feel may occur due to the handcraft process. This is not covered by our warranty as per Item 9.
Orders and Payment
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to cancel any order prior to acceptance, for any reason.
When you place an order, you confirm you are of legal age in the place where the order is placed from.
Before submitting your order, you will be able to review your product selection, check the total price and shipping options, and correct any errors. Once you confirm your order, we will start working to fulfill this order as confirmed. Any changes to the order from this point onwards may incur in additional costs, or a potential cancellation of the order.
For pre-made hat orders from any of our “Collections”, payment must be made in full at the time of purchase.
For custom orders, a deposit of €200 is required to commence work, with the reminder due upon confirmation of completion of the commission, and prior to shipment. Delay on payment at this stage may affect delivery time, see Item 7.
We accept major payment methods as outlined in our website.
Shipping and Delivery
Standard shipping to peninsular Spain is free for all orders. Expedited shipping can be selected at checkout.
International shipping charges will be provided upon request, and this charges will depend to where the order is shipped. Expedited international shipping, when available, can be requested as well.
Shipping times are estimates and may vary.
All shipments are tracked. We will provide tracking information as it becomes ready. Please allow for 24-48hs for tracking info to be updated.
Bolatti Hat Co. is not responsible for delays caused by mail, courier services, or customs at the origin and destination countries.
We currently do not ship to the following countries: Belarus, Central African Republic, China, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guatemala, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, occupied regions of Ukraine, Venezuela, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.
We do no ship to P.O. boxes.
For hats in the “Collections”, we aim to ship all orders within 1-3 business days from the date the order is confirmed. Should any delays extend this time, you will be notified. This processing time is in addition to shipping times estimated during checkout.
For custom orders, these are shipped at the time they are completed. Expedited shipping is also available, please contact us should you like us to ship expedited.
For orders placed outside the EU, you are responsible for any import duties and taxes, plus any other costs associated with the importation process (e.g. storage, re-routing, brokerage fees). Items are declared at full value for insurance purposes, we cannot declare items as “gift”.
Please inspect your package for damage upon delivery. Hats are carefully packaged in their rigid storage boxes, and these are shipped inside a double walled brown cardboard box with padding for protection. In the unfortunate case that the hat is damaged during shipment, please contact us at info@bolattihatco.com as soon as possible so we can offer you options for correcting this.
Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
All our hats are made with the utmost care and attention, aiming for unsurpassable quality. In the case you are not satisfied with your order, please reach out and we will make it right. One of our foundational pillars is that we own our mistakes. Should we “drop the ball”, please let us know!
The following policies applies to all cancellations, returns and refunds:
For ready to wear hats in the “Collections”, we accept returns within 14 days from the date the order is delivered. The item must be in the same condition you received it: unworn, unused, with all its tags, cards, letters, etc., and in its original undamaged package. Please contact us at returns@bolattihatco.com to request a return authorization and shipping instructions. A free shipping label will be provided for returns within the Spanish peninsula. Unfortunately we cannot provide return labels for international orders, or orders from Canarias or Baleares, therefore all shipping expenses on these cases are on your account. Once a returned order is received, it will be inspected, and if everything is in its original condition, a refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow for 7-10 days for your financial institution to process the refund. For orders outside the EU, please note that we cannot refund any fees or taxes incurred in the importation process, or any other expenses related to the return process.
For custom orders, as hats are built to your detailed specifications, we cannot accept returns. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your custom hat, please contact us. We will make it right.
We do not accept exchanges. If you would like to exchange an order, you will have to cancel it or return it, and re-order.
If you would like to cancel an order, please contact us at returns@bolattihatco.com within 24hs for pre-made hats in the “Collections”, or within the first 48hs for custom orders. Orders cancelled within this time frame do not have any penalties, and your payment method will be fully refunded within 48hs. Please allow 7-10 days for your financial institution to process the refund.
For cancellations of custom orders after 48hs, please contact us at info@bolattihatco.com. Depending on how advanced we are with your order, we may be able to process a cancellation, but this is not guaranteed. Due to the nature of custom hats, if we have already started your hat and cannot allocate the material for another customer, the cancellation will not be possible and the deposit will not be refunded.
Chargebacks and Payments Disputes
The following policies apply to any chargeback and payment disputes initiated by you.
Customer obligation to contact us first: Customers must contact us directly at returns@bolattihatco.com and provide complete details of any issue or concern regarding their order before initiating a credit card dispute or chargeback. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve the matter promptly in accordance with our returns and refund policy (see item 8).
Definition and Grounds: A chargeback occurs when a customer contacts their card-issuing institution to reverse a transaction. While we recognize the right to dispute transactions in cases of genuine fraud or unauthorized use, any chargeback initiated for reasons other than those permitted by the card issuer — including, without limitation, failure to follow our returns process, dissatisfaction without cause, or buyer’s remorse — shall be considered unwarranted.
Responsibility for Unwarranted Chargebacks: In the event of an unwarranted or unsuccessful chargeback, the customer shall remain liable for:
The full amount of the original order;
Any processing, administrative, or penalty fees imposed by our payment provider or financial institution; and
Any reasonable legal, collection, or recovery costs incurred by us in contesting or enforcing repayment of such amounts.
Proof of Fulfilment: We retain detailed records of each order, including order confirmation, production notes (for custom items), shipment tracking, and delivery confirmation. These documents will be submitted as evidence to the relevant payment processor or card network in the event of a dispute.
Restriction of Future Orders: We reserve the right to refuse future sales or service to any customer who files unwarranted or fraudulent chargebacks, or who repeatedly disputes legitimate transactions.
Preservation of Statutory Rights: Nothing in this section affects the customer’s statutory rights under applicable consumer-protection laws.
Warranty
At Bolatti Hat Co. we are proud of our workmanship and materials, and we guarantee all our hats for life. Our lifetime warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship, ensuring your headwear remains reliable and durable throughout its life. For initiating a warranty claim, please contact us at support@bolattihatco.com with a thorough description of the issue, together with supporting pictures. We will analyze this information and get back to you as soon as posible to process the warranty claim.
Please note that all the following policies apply:
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or normal wear and tear. This includes (but is not limited to) damage due to weathering, manipulation, water or snow, dirt, extreme temperature, discolouring, and shape loss.
As a hat is a wardrobe piece, the warranty also does not covers any mishaps that change the shape of a hat, including crushing, brim deformation, or any changes in shape due to wearing. Should your hat need a spiff up, please head to our Services section, and we will be happy to service your hat to bring it to a pristine condition.
As any piece of fine clothing, a hat needs maintenance. Our warranty does not covers any damage resulting from the lack of maintenance or proper storage (e.g. moth damage, stains).
The warranty only covers labour and materials to repair the damage, or replace the damaged part. All shipping charges to and from our studio is your responsibility, including any import duties and taxes that may apply.
Limitation of Liability
Bolatti Hat Co. is not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this website or products purchased.
Bolatti Hat Co. shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use our products, including but not limited to any defects in craftsmanship or materials. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item in question. We make every effort to ensure the highest quality in our handcrafted headwear; however, we disclaim any warranties, express or implied, beyond those explicitly stated. By purchasing or using our products, you agree to this limitation of liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
The customer agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Bolatti Hat Co., its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to the customer’s use of Bolatti Hat Co. products, any breach of the customer’s representations or warranties, or the customer’s violation of applicable laws or third-party rights. This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of any agreement between the customer and Bolatti Hat Co.
Privacy
Your use of this site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, without any notice.
Changes will be posted on this page and become effective immediately upon posting.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Spanish law.
Any disputes arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
